our voices matter

Have you ever been to therapy and felt like you needed to talk about stuff your words couldn't quite reach? Like what you needed to process was stuck so deep you feared you'd never get past it, let alone understand it?

Me too.

my story.

I’m Brooke—a therapist-in-training, speaker, and author who knows that healing is not linear. My journey began in the thick of emotional overwhelm, where therapy became both a lifeline and a mirror. It was through facing my own trauma, grief, and problematic behavior patterns that I discovered the power of being radically honest with myself.

I’ve sat in the discomfort of accountability, wrestled with long-buried emotions, and slowly learned to welcome the parts of me I once tried to silence. Healing has been anything but tidy—and that’s exactly why I believe in it. The messy moments are where truth lives, and where transformation begins.

Messy Healing was born from this lived experience. It’s a space for people who are ready to show up as they are, without shame or pretense. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, heartbreak, or simply trying to make sense of your story, I’m here to help you embrace your messy—with compassion, clarity, and care.

therapy companion journals.

The Therapy Companion Journals were born out of my own healing journey—out of necessity, really. I needed a place to gather my thoughts, track emotional shifts, and document the events of the week so I wouldn’t forget what to talk about in my next therapy session. What started as a simple tool to stay organized became something far more powerful. As I wrote, I began to uncover behavioral patterns I hadn’t noticed before. I started identifying triggers that led to emotional overwhelm or deep-rooted anxiety. I learned to recognize the early signs of dysregulation—when my emotions would go on high alert—and slowly, I began to understand how to soothe my nervous system, communicate my needs more clearly, and listen to my body with compassion.

Writing helped me connect the dots between my thoughts, emotions, and somatic experiences. It gave me language for what I was feeling and a structure to hold it. It became a bridge between sessions—a place where healing didn’t pause just because the hour ended.

therapy with me.

I don’t believe in fixing people—I believe in walking alongside them as they unfold, reclaim, and rebuild. Therapy with me is relational and intuitive, shaped by my belief that healing happens in safe, attuned connection. I hold space for complexity, contradiction, and the parts of you that may have never had a voice. My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), blending depth-oriented exploration with practical tools for change.

Clients often describe our sessions as spacious and clarifying. I listen closely—not just to your words, but to what’s underneath them. I trust the wisdom of your system and move at the pace of your nervous system, not the pressure of productivity. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, relational wounds, or simply trying to make sense of your inner world, I offer a space where you can be messy, honest, and whole.

Therapy with me isn’t about arriving at answers—it’s about deepening into your truth. I bring empathy, curiosity, and gentle challenge to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been silenced or forgotten. Together, we’ll build something meaningful from the inside out.
